Tonight in Seattle:

Bumbershoot adds Cold War Kids, Old 97s, Yeah Yeah Yeahs; releases full schedule

Late last night, Bumbershoot unveiled their final lineup for the Labor Day weekend festival this year (barring any unforseen cancellations, of course). As usual, it looks like a pretty great lineup. I was especially thrilled that The Yeah Yeah Yeahs will be playing a Main Stage show. Also added were Cold War Kids and Old 97s, also playing Main Stage sets. Disappointing: that Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground, De La Soul and The Long Winters will be playing at the same time (9:30pm on Saturday night).

The full schedule is here.

I (and a lot of TIG writers) will be writing more in the coming days uptil to and through Bumbershoot about who we are excited to see this year but who are your "can't misses"?

Those are some pretty nice additions to the event... Also Chris, that 'full schedule" link is just a link to the same picture of the Cold War Kids bassist. I would also point out that if you want to go, get your ticket before August 21st while it's still at the reasonable price of $35 a day because after that it jumps up to $50 a day and nobody wants to pay that, right?
Egad! You're right. It's corrected now. Thanks John! I need to be more careful about what's in my copy/cut and paste buffer!
There is no one I can't miss If I keep saying that, maybe it will feel true
Gah. Old 97's. Now I HAVE to go. At least they're on the same day as NPSH. And I'll probably go see Matt & Kim too, even though his voice annoys me so much.
I'm all about Charlyne Yi & Patton Oswald, David Cross (I am sure that will be PACKED), Tons of short film packages, possibly the Old 97s, maybe I'll FINALLY see Natalie Portman's Shave head (the band, duh) and I really don't wanna miss the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Am also curious about the Scream Contest, complete with SCREAM-o-METER... and about a million other things. :)
Also added is Helio Sequence. They are always fun to watch live.
Why Metric at the same time as Modest Mouse. Argh!
