Take a stroll down memory lane (that is, if you're old enough)

Well, after last week's stunning revelation that some TIG readers had no idea who Krist Novoselic is, it seems like ABC News has decided to follow up on that idea. They have posted an amusing "Grunge Band - Where are they now?" photo library for our enjoyment. And boy, they chose some unflattering "now" photos - Krist looks like a down-and-out math teacher rather than the former bassists of the most influential bands of rock and roll.

Wait...people on here don't know who Krist Novoselic is? Well, perhaps they just aren't savvy on that sort of thing, I don't know if I'd chalk it up to age.

Does anyone bother to do their homework anymore? Richard Patrick was the lead singer of Filter, not drummer, and is the lead singer of Army of Anyone with the ugly, brotherly half of Stone Temple Pilots.

ABC... seriously!

Interesting that ABC also doesn't seem to have the budget for a good copy editor/proofreader:

The remaining Alice in Chain members, Mike Inez (who replaced Mike Starr), left, Jerry Cantrell (who founded the band with Layne Staley), second from left, and Sean Kinney (drummer), right, reunited in 2005 for a concert in Seattle to benefit Tsunami victims. They continue to perform together with singer William DuVall (from Comes With the Fall), second from left, all pictured at the VH1 Rock Honors, May 12, 2007. They recently went on tour with Velvet Revolver and there are rumors of an upcoming album.

And 90's? Unless the decade owns it, it's '90s, ABC. Sheesh, Cosby's right — you guys kinda blow!
