That's Professor Marr to you

Johnny Marr of the Smiths and now Modest Mouse has been named a professor a Salford University. Marr will, according to the article, "deliver a series of workshops and master classes to students in its popular music and recording course."
Do you suppose badmouthing Moz will get you an A?

can you imagine this response in an academic environment?

In Jan-Feb, his myspace issued quite a number of bulletins (news, tour info, interviews). No mention of class/curricula, but on his blog is a recent article. Also a clip from 1999 of he & Marianne Faithfull performing "As Tears Go By" at Royal Albert Hall.
