Saundrah, I'm looking your way...
Submitted by imaginary dana on April 17, 2008.For those of us lucky enough to be in Denmark tihs July (cough cough, Saundrah, I'm looking your way!), the lineup for the Roskilde Festival is pretty damn amazing. Where else but Denmark would Grinderman, Jay-Z, My Bloody Valentine, Radiohead, Slayer, and Neil Young share top billing (and yeah, Judas Priest too)? That is insanity. Sweet, sweet Danish insanity.
And that's just the beginning. Check out the rest of the bands. I wish I know how to say "Holy shite!" in Danish. Cause I'd say it now.
The Roskilde Festival goes down July 3-6 (that's 3-6 July to you Danes), and if you're motivated to make the trip, you can find all the inf you need here.

The story I hear is that the Chemical Brothers new live set up is as good if not better than Daft Punk's. Chemical Brothers and Radiohead in four day span....I wish I could go to Denmark.
Oh and I've always watned to see Slayer too!

Wow, I'm just awakening from my post-doctor-office-flu-hazy nap, and I'm just.... wow. Sorry to offend you there, deena. To clarify, Saundrah Humphrey was a Seattle-based violin and viola player, who has been written about tons on TIG as a member of Math and Physics Club, Bad Dream Good Breakfast, Blue Checkered Record Player, Thorton Creek, yadda yadda. As a reader of our site, you may have seen her frequent comments on our blog, or perhaps seen the "Saundrah is moving to Denmark" goodbye article I wrote a few weeks back.
She was a huge asset to the Seattle music scene and also a great pal. Well, she still is a great pal... she's just far away! So I sent her a shoutout to make her smile. Didn't mean to seem elitist. My humblest imaginary apologies to you.

Just at note: Saundrah is amused that her bowel movements are being discussed... and she cannot attend the Roskilde Festival 2008, but will be attending the Hurricane Festival near Hamburg, Germany... much love to my pals at TIG!
