Here's a track from the upcoming release, featuring the aforementioned collaborators:
In other Mount Eerie news, Elverum will be playing What the Heck Fest in Anacortes (July 18-20th) along with the very talented Little Wings, Mirah, Kimya Dawson, Khaela Maricich, Calvin Johnson, Karl Blau and many others. For more information, click here.

Oh Ricky...you're really missing out if you're that naive/sassy about the Phil Elverum. This track is fantastic, as is just about everything the man's touched at K and beyond.
Wish I'd been there for What the Heck. Fans should check out the new 10" vinyl of _Black Wooden Ceiling Opening_ too. "In Moonlight" is up there as one of his best.

I would have killed to go to What The Heck, but I was out of town. Phil Elvrum is a magical character and fascinating musician.

No gas = no What the Heck Fest for me. I love the KRecs lineup that clutters the festival and it sucks I missed seeing 'em.
In terms of a Mount Eerie vs. Microphones debate, I'd still have to say I love Phil's Microphones fit better. Thoughts? Joseph?

What the Heck Fest was interesting. Not your standard "festival" but that's one reason why it was certainly enjoyable. Thanks for this new track!
I'll be posting some of Karl Blau and Phil's performances on Vimeo soon.
