Um, i'm already a wee bit tipsy and giddy but.... New Hampshire and Penn? Doesn't that mean... that we won??
I'm guardedly EXTREMELY EXCITED.
Consider this your election night open thread, if for some reason you're on TIG and not say, Daily Kos or Slog or Wonkette.
WOOOOOOOOT!

i liked this site better when it actually had something to do with music/seattle music. nevermind the fact that it blatantly refers to obama as "we win." it seems immature and kind of fan-girl. it is not intelligent discourse but perez hilton style fan-politics. obama is acting the role of damon albarn.

YES WE DID.
Barack Obama - the 44th President of the United States of America.
Thank you, America, for getting it right.

i guess i get it. i am pro obama too. i guess i just like my tig to be less partisan, more musical. it makes me feel kind of bad to see this site only aimed at people who would support obama. i like politics to be personal. i don't like my music people/local reporters to tell me what "we" are always rooting for. i like things to be a little less predictable.

music and politics have always been intertwined, like it or not. this is a site written by individuals expressing their opinions for a specific community. watch this video and contemplate.

There was a site that let you dedicate your vote to someone and I dedicated mine to Kiku knowing she couldn't vote yet. We did it, kiddo!

LOL
PA and NH didn't mean he won.
OH, on the other hand, did.
The funniest part was after FL was called - the networks agreed years ago not to declare a winner until the polls close on the West Coast, but a sly commentator showed the states Obama had won, the states he was a lock in come 8 pm, and basically winked at us.
And Derek - here's the key: TIG are TIG. It's their site, roll with it.

...does this mean we can go back to talkin about music again?

@benjamas -- YESSSS!!
As I wrote yesterday: "Consider this the end of the imaginary Election 2008 political coverage. Our work here is done; from now on, we will leave the hard work of rebuilding the country, yadda yadda, to the political blogs to cover. Bring on the indie-pop!"
To which I say, WOOT!
