Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

Monday is my day for lining up at Bumbershoot to try and get a seat in the sweet air-conditioned KEXP Music Lounge. There are a few things I’d like to hit Saturday and Sunday, but I’m planning to spend almost all day Monday in there, seeing:

Hurray for the Riff Raff
1:15PM

The Reverend Horton Heat
2:30PM

Nada Surf
3:45PM

Rose Windows
5:30PM

However (whatever to your however), IF I can figure out how to clone myself between now and Monday, I’d gladly split my time between the Music Lounge and the following:

La Luz
12:30pm
Fountain Lawn Stage

La Luz just MAKES ME HAPPY! So happy. So fucking happy.

Smokey Brights
1:45pm
Pavilion Stage

I feel like ever’body has been talking about Smokey Brights and how great they are, and although I’ve been burned by the collective Seattle hipster conscious before, I’d be willing to try ‘em out live and see how I like it.

Hurray for the Riff Raff
6:25pm
Starbucks Stage

I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BAND. SO I AM SEEING THEM TWICE IN ONE DAY!
Other stuff I’d like to check out on Monday: Tangerine, Neon Trees, Real Estate,Foster the People (Hey, I’m not above that “kicks” song!).
