Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

The Best Music Writing 2010Better late than never, us Imaginaries would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to one of our favorite music writers, Chris Estey, for landing a coveted spot in the upcoming compilation The Best Music Writing of 2010.

Of course it’s no suprise to us at TIG, as Chris’s writing is awesomesauce. So DUH. Of course he’s in here! We’ll be reviewing the book later, but we already know his included piece (on Phil Ochs Greatest Hits) rocks. Chris is a frequent contributor to KEXP, The Stranger, and of course, here on Three Imaginary Girls. In addition to all that writing goodness, he’s an asset to the Seattle music scene, and just an all-around great guy. YOU RULE CHRIS! We love you, man.

There’s a lot of other great music writers packed into this book too (which should be obvious from the title, non?), including Sean Nelson, Nikki Darling, and Maura Johnston – just to name a few.

Wa can’t wait until November when we can get our hands on this and crack it open for a cozy afternoon of reading!

You can pre-order your copy at one of our fine local bookstores or on Amazon.
