Bukowski definitely wasn't an asshole, but he was a guy living the male fantasy of dissolute inebriation and irresponsibility.

Bukowski is a great song, though, a sardonic reflection on god and human relationships, with Brock's inimitable style and lyrics. It's really not much about Charles Bukowski at all.
