dancing on the valentine

Just for starters, what a Great. Poster. [Poster by Seattle Show Posters]

Whether you have a valentine, need a valentine, or shun all things valentine; the perfect non-denominatinational day of St. V. event is upon us: it's the fourth annual installment of Dancing on The Valentine, and it's going to be a big barrel of bliss.

The technicals:

DANCING ON THE VALENTINE is a recurring benefit show for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services.

The Society's mission is to cure Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's Disease and Myeloma, as well as improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

DANCING ON THE VALENTINE is produced independently by Jenny George, a Leukemia survivor and the reigning monarch of our hearts.

Fabulous, right? It's a good night out for a good cause, and it *completely* de-focuses the state of with / without / love it / hate it / gotta have it / can't stand it juju that accompanies this awesome / awful day of abundant hearts. Like magic! And as if that weren't enough, the lineup is Off. The. Charts. Seriously. The night is a tribute to Factory Records, featuring…

  • Atticus & the Arteries (his backing band are all ex members of the Capillaries)
  • DJ Crispy
  • DJ Danger Nun
  • Funkscribe
  • Haunted Horse (members of Partman, Parthorse and Haunted Hearts)
  • Hotels
  • Leaders of Men (Pete Greenburg will be singing with Michael Schorr & Jon Wooster
  • Motorik
  • Peter Parker
  • Police Teeth
  • This is Friendly Fire
