Nominations for the 51st annual Grammy Awards were announced Wednesday night and Death Cab for Cutie received nominations in two categories:

Best rock song for "I Will Possess Your Heart"

Best Alternative Music Album for "Narrow Stairs"

The full list can be found at the Grammy website. The award winners will be announced at The Recording Academy's 51st Grammy Awards, held on February 8, 2009 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
