Last month’s Imaginary Crafty Listening Party was bumpin with Lo & Behold Shrie teaching us all how to embroider {and armed us with TIG birdies to practice on} while we blissed out to the new Darren Hanlon and Menomena albums.

Join us Sunday, September 12th from 1p-3p at Neptune Coffee {in Greenwood} for the  September edition of the Imaginary Crafty Listening Party. We would love to have you join us as we feast on brand new albums from The Thermals and Superchunk and our dear friend Kelly is going to teach us how to make fashionable fabric flowers {photo examples} from scraps of fabric and a button . You don’t have to partake in the free tutorial, bring your own knitting needles, papercraft, or current craft project and join us for fabulous crafty conversations and good times.

Oh, and there’s Neptune Coffee drink specials and raffle prizes. Crafty attendees will have a chance to win copies of the Thermals and Superchunk albums as well as tickets to one of the most amazing shows of the year: Superchunk / Teenage Fanclub / Telekinesis at the Showbox on October 14, 2010.

If you want to join in the fabu fabric flower tutorial and reserve a fabric flower kit, email us at tig @ threeimaginarygirls.com with the subject line SeptCrafty {$2 to cover supplies and payable the day of the meet-up}.

The new Thermals album, Personal Life, releases on September 7, 2010 {on Kill Rock Stars} and the first single from the album has knocked our knitted socks off! Hear it for yourself {free download}. We can’t wait to hear the whole album for ourselves on September 12th.

This crafty listening party is going os serve as the sneak peak debut of the full Superchunk album, Majesty Shredding, which doesn’t hit record store shelves until September 14, 2010 {on Merge}. It’s an extreme treat to be able to play the album in full a couple days before its release date.

You in for crafty good times?
