Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

It's a big day for Sub Pop offshoot label Hardly Art, as they welcome their first release, by Seattle's Arthur & Yu, called In Camera. This record has been in pretty steady rotation at my house for a few weeks and I really love it. Congrats to Sara and Nick of Hardly Art!

I love me some David Vandevelde, but I am still scratching my head wondering
why he put out this EP with songs that are already on his recent full length
Moonstation House Band?!? Still love the song "Nuthin No" though. Might
be my favorite song of the year thus far.

The White Stripes Icky Thump is here. It's a little known fact that this record was made for Imaginary Liz and the rest of us are lucky that she is sharing it
with the rest of the world.

I am a new fan of Polyphonic Spree. They ended up being the only music I saw at this year's Sasquatch Festival, and that was only because the band was cool enough to play a surprise show after the crowds had gone for all the people that had to work the entire festival.

I haven't heard anything from the Mark Olson record, but he's an phenomenal musician and is the other half to the AMAZING Victoria Williams. Does The Grammy's have a category for cutest couple?
