Where have all the dive bars gone?

The Lobo Saloon is soon to join the list of Seattle dive bars that are no more. Where’s an {imaginary} girl suppose to go to get a cheap, stiff drink? I mean, besides her refrigerator. Check out the full article which features a sassy picture of the Trucks!

I don't know about you, but I'll be at the Blue Moon tonight!

If you want a real dive, head north: there's this place near my house in Crown Hill called the Sundown Tavern - it's a for-real dive (as in, I've lived near it for over 4 years and never once been in) - you can walk by in the early morning and see folks hunched over the bar already.

Ooh, I have driven by the Sundown Tavern and been VERY intrigued (being a huge fan of the Dive Bar myself).

One of my faves is the Viking Tavern, especially since they didn't seem to mind by BFF puking in janitor's sink in their broom closet on his birthday a few weeks back (true story). Oddly, my review of the Viking was just voted Review of the Day today over on Yelp, even though I submitted it months ago. And today igChar posts about dive bars! Coincidink? I think not!
