Tonight in Seattle:

The Pipettes will be at Chop Suey 6/14 (Insert Excessive Exclamation Points Here)

the Pipettes

I'm not sure why this hasn't been mentioned yet, but...

Pitchfork is reporting that the completely crush-worthy Pipettes, an imaginary favorite at SXSW this year, will be embarking on a US tour this summer. Even better news: said tour includes a stop in Seattle at Chop Suey on Thursday, June 14.

If that isn't enough, We are the Pipettes will be given a proper US release on August 28. I guess it is sufficient for me as I already have the CD as an import, but it is exciting nonetheless.

Here's their full tour schedule:

04-25 Hamburg, Germany - Grunspan
04-26 Berlin, Germany - Maria/Zitty Party
04-27 Munich, Germany - Backstage Werk
04-28 Florence, Italy - Viper
04-29 Placentia, Italy - Fillmore
04-30 Bologna, Italy - Estragon
05-01 Conegliano, Italy - Zion Rock Club
05-03 Paris, France - Trabendo
06-01 Toronto, Ontario - Lee's Palace
06-02 Washington, DC - Black Cat
06-03 Philadelphia, PA - First Unitarian Church
06-04 Boston, MA - Great Scott
06-05 New York, NY - Highline Ballroom
06-07 Chicago, IL - Empty Bottle
06-08 Minneapolis, MN - 7th St Entry
06-10 San Diego, CA - Casbah
06-11 Los Angeles, CA - Troubadour
06-12 San Francisco, CA - Popscene @ Rickshaw Stop
06-14 Seattle, WA - Chop Suey
06-15 Vancouver, British Columbia - Plaza Club

Super exciting! Whatever will they be wearing? Polka-dots? A floral?

We should take them to Pretty Parlor!!!

WhoopieeeeeeEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Marking calendar now...

debate: favourite pipettes track?
Mines got to be ABC for the scary Bewitched inspired cartoonage on the video alone

I'm a sucker for theme songs... so I'd have to say "We Are The Pipettes."

Don't make me pick favorites/favourites!!!

Checks and balances:

I might as well be the one to ask....

Does anyone else not really like them that much? Or have I just become a jazz snob of late?

Definitely a jazz snob... ;)
