Tonight in Seattle:

Sunday night live show check-in...

It's Sunday night. What was the most fun thing you did or saw this Cinco de Mayo weekend?

See any good shows? Drink any fantastic margaritas? Disccover any great new records we need to know about?

Please feel free to share with the rest of the imaginary class...

Damn you adults and your drinking. All I got for my Cinco de Mayo was a reminder that I have 4 more years until I can legally celebrate a legitimate drinking holiday.

I guess the S.A.M. will have to hold me over until then.

Oh, how was the SAM opening? Did you see the firedancers??

I gave up sugar last Monday... no sugar or anything with sugar and I have to say that I felt the best, most energetic and motivated this weekend than I have felt in a very long time!! (and I lost a couple lbs) Crazy! I feel awesome this morning too..

I discovered Remedy Tea on Sat night while nursing a very sick friend. The folks at Remedy were VERY nice and helped me with a concoction that greatly alleviated my friends need to spew. I am going back soon to try some of their other teas..

Saw the movie HOT FUZZ on Friday night...funny funny.. love that Simon Pegg.

Nice walk around Green Lake on Sunday.

Remedy Tea RULES!!!!!!!!! The black and blue is the best.

Looks like I wasn't the only one who didn't hit the rock and roll over the weekend (still recovering from sickness). Who saw some good shows though? I want a vicarious thrill!

I got there too late/early, my timed ticket was for 12:20am Sunday, and we left at about 2:30 in the morning. We got there just in time to join in the sweet dance party that lasted the entire time we were there.

The modern art exhibit was incredible though, some Warhol, some Pollack and my favorite, "White Squad II" by Leon Golub.

I rocked hard this weekend. Three shows Friday night; a rooftop party Saturday night with members of a few bands drunkenly making noise until the party got busted up; and Sunday, well, Sunday was quite the undertaking: Harvard Square Mayfair all day with lots and lots of bands, an Irish pub in the evening for a set by a local singer/songwriter, then a rock show across town.
May I sleep yet?
No, not until after Amy Winehouse tonight!
I'll of course tell you much more in my Thursday week in rock recap.

Just because I haven't mentioned her for a few weeks doesn't mean I'm any less in *heart* with her.

I can't believe no Northwest date for her! My bet is Bumbershoot is wooing her (I'm sure in no small part because of my votes in the "who should we bring to Bumbershoot" poll... ;)

The best show ever happened it atlas on 5/5. Suretoss played their reformation show (as well as their last show ever), Fall on Fall (members of Rev Hydra and Slomo Rabbit Kick) played their first show ever (and they were freakin' incredible), Garden Variety Tsar (Chris of Racetrack) and Cristina Bautista both played rare solo sets, and Jordan of Patience Please opened with his first solo show since he was 17. All in all, it was an amazing night. It's like I booked the show for myself.

...has sure been kicking ass on booking some great shows!

So's everyone, apparently. Show was sold out and jam packed, and I didn't even realize it until I got there but Patrick Wolf was opening. Fun night all around, but I was about a mile back so I don't have any decent photos to share. Full recap tk.
