Sasquatch: M.I.A. replaced with the Long Winters

From the Sasquach website:

M.I.A. cancelled: "Unexpected delays in the processing and issuance of MIA’s artist visa have forced her to cancel her appearance at this year’s Sasquatch Festival. We apologize to our fans and to the promoters of the festival and look forward to returning to the US as soon as possible."

I know. It's a little sad for me since I've seen the Long Winters approximately 143 1/2 times (there was that one time it was too hot in the Croc and I had to leave half way through the set for fear of passing out) and I've seen M.I.A. 0 times.

We've got a few imaginaries headed to Sasquatch this year, but personally I'm excited about the NYC popfest. That looks like the place to be for me (although I wont be there, I'll be somewhere in the Puget Sound vicinity). I'm not really one for honeybuckets and 3-hr drives to the Gorge. A 6-hour flight to NYC to see some of my favorite indie pop bands in a small club? Now THAT'S my style!

Hmm... I think someone needs to start a post about that with links and videos and stuff. I'll get on that!

This is super-lame. This isn't even the first time this has happened to her...
