igLiz blogged earlier that she was in a bad mood, and that only the news of Nicky Click's new song has kept her going. I am likewise dragging. Is it the gray skies? The dayjob? Pre-natal depression? Who can say.
I went to YouTube seeking solace. I found it. I dare you to stay in a blue mood when Missy Gets Her Freak On.
But after a few listens through, the lift is fading. I need more fodder. So tell me -- What song puts you in a good mood, every damn time you hear it? Bonus points if you embed the video.
Let's all get giddy. And, um, get our freaks on.

I think these jeans with the peach top are SHIT HOT. I'd better see you in that outfit at the next twee band gig!

I can't help but smile tremendously whenever I listen to Tiny Tim's "Livin' in the Sunlight, Lovin' in the Moonlight".
Also, Jon Brion's Cheap Trick cover of "Voices". While quite a meloncholy song (solo piano sung almost entirely in his thread-thin falsetto), it always lifts my spirits in a weird way.
Sort of like, the moon of Jon Brion eclipses the grey sun of monotony? I have no idea.

The Von Bondies- "C'mon, C'mon" puts me in a good mood.
I'm at work, YouTube is not allowed, so I'll edit this comment in an hour with the video.
Edit:

H Is For Hellgate haven't filmed a video for their song "Tina Fey" yet, but maybe I'll shoot some footage of them performing it tonight at the Sunset...
It's replaced Madonna's "Lucky Star" as my personal all-time sure shot smile inducer, for reasons both obvious and obscure.

(For those of you who, like me, work for places that forbid YouTube, this is "Rock Lobster" by the B-52s.)

I've been meaning to reply to this thread but couldn't think of a song, but then it came up on my iPod and struck me as exactly the thing I was looking for ...
LCD Soundsystem's "Losing My Edge"
I would embed this youtube video but no one will tell me what the code is to embed these things the right way. Damn you, Safari!
