Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

As I’m sure everyone knows by now, I am completely in love with the film True Adolescents, and I also think Director Craig Johnson and Producer Tom Woodrow are totally cool. How cool are they, you ask? They are so cool, Furnace Films is hosting a rock show/party at The Comet tonight to celebrate their awesomeness.

Check it out:

Act Your Age: True Adolescents SIFF Party
Where: The Comet Tavern, 922 E Pike Street
When:  Saturday June 6, 8pm – late, $7 cover
Who:    Open to the public (21+)
Why:    Great bands, DJs, movie cast & crew and swag, precious swag

Furnace Films will host a party open to the public at The Comet Tavern on June 6 to celebrate the screenings of the Seattle-made independent film True Adolescents, starring Mark Duplass and Melissa Leo, during the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF).

The event will feature live music from local bands The Effort (featuring members of The Blakes), The Fucking Eagles, Basemint (featuring members of Wallpaper), Black Daisy, and DJ sets by Hunter Lea (of Mono In VCF).

Limited edition posters for the movie/party will be available for sale and several cast and crew including writer/director Craig Johnson, producer Thomas Woodrow, and music supervisor Sandy Wilson (Light in the Attic Records) will be in attendance.

That's a pretty impressive list of bands! I’ve already gushed to Craig and Tom about how much they rock, but I intend to make my way to The Comet at some point this eve just so I can shake Sandy Wilson’s hand and say “Dude, THANK YOU for that amazing soundtrack." You should too.
