Rafter is sort of a musical menagerie that can actually pull off the act. Sex Death Cassette is the closest thing you can get to a true musical garbage bag, and I mean that in a good way. The collection of sounds put together by Rafter Roberts samples from, at least what I can ascertain, pretty much every genre of pop music ever created. What it comes across like is a Beck's hyperactive cousin or maybe a little more danceable Guided by Voices... whatever that might mean.

Words don't do a very good job to describe the chameleon act that goes on within the bounds of Sex Death Cassette, but pretty much everyone will find something to attach themselves to, like I did with "Sleazy Sleepy," "Love Time Now Please," "No-One Home Ever,"and "How To and Why."

Rafter runs the spectrum, for better or for worse (but mostly for better).
