I don't know about anywhere else in the country, but autumn came late to New York this year, and now it's finally here just in time for Halloween.

So, obviously, I had to make an autumn mix. To me, autumn songs are a distinct class — they aren't as low and pensive as a winter song, but they're still quiet, and maybe just a little more hopeful.

I made a mix that has 53 songs and so far includes (among others) Magnetic Fields, Sufjan, Death Cab, Earlimart, Sea Wolf, The Shins, Arthur & Yu, and Bright Eyes… what would YOU put on an autumn mix? suggestions are welcome!
