Three Imaginary DVDs to see: awesome Pixar goodness, 40 years of Sesame St, and Kings of Leon live
Up: I have a few friends who persist in believing that animated films are for kids only and to them I say: you must rent Up immediately. This film’s touching opening sequence about life-long love moves seamlessly into an old man’s loneliness, his uninvited passenger, a mysterious paradise, and (the best part!) TALKING dogs – all of which left me breathless, emotional, laughing and ridiculously happy by the end.

Sesame Street: 40 Years of Sunny Days: It’s kind of funny to think that Sesame Street has been around since I was a kid and that it’s still a fave of little ones today. AND, in sticking with my belief that kid stuff is not always “just for kids”, I’ll say that there’s a lot in Sesame St that translates to adults too. Plus, how can you not love Kermit, Oscar, Grover, Snuffy, Cookie Monster, the Count, Bert & Ernie, etc.? Sure, there’s some cheese factor involved with the guest stars, and you still have to learn your ABCs and what’s good for you, but it’s still really awesome, you guys. I’m definitely going to check out this compilation of classic clips:

Kings of Leon: Live at the O2 London, England: There’s nothin’ better than a good live show. Filmed in 2009 at London’s O2 Arena, Kings of Leon rock the stage to a packed house with their hit tunes. The next best thing to being there? Rent it and see.
