As soon as OK Go hit the stage, I could tell this show was going to be different. The lights dimmed, the crowd buzzed with anticipation, and the band launched into their 2010 hit “This Too Shall Pass” from Of the Blue Colour of the Sky. The energy was already electric — and then frontman Damian Kulash jumped into the crowd as a burst of confetti rained down on the audience.

From that explosive start, OK Go didn’t ease up. The crowd was instantly locked in, teeming with curiosity about what the band would do next. “I Won’t Let You Down” and “The Writing’s on the Wall,” both from their 2014 album Hungry Ghosts, followed, and the momentum kept building.
Then came a surreal moment — the kind you might expect at a holiday concert, but never quite like this. The band brought out handbells (white gloves and all) and performed a stunning rendition of “Shooting the Moon.” The delicate chime of the bells, combined with the band’s harmonies, created a version of the song that was both fresh and faithful to the original.
After putting away the bells, Damian re-entered the crowd to perform “This Is How It Ends” from their latest album. He shared with the audience that it’s his current favorite song, before going into some more indie rock classics.

OK Go’s show felt like a playful explosion of confetti, connection, and nostalgia. While longtime fans got to hear hits spanning their 27-year career, the band also introduced plenty of new material from And the Adjacent Possible, their latest release. From answering audience questions to livestreaming the show for children in hospitals — and giving them shoutouts throughout the night — OK Go reminded everyone what it means to throw a concert with heart, style, and their signature flair.
