I had the pleasure of seeing Elf Power, from Athens GA, at the High Dive on, of all days, TAX DAY. They had the whole place jumping and bouncing and dancing throughout the entire set, myself included. Their solid set was no surprise to me since I've been a fan since the mid 90's when I made countless trips between Atlanta and Athens photographing bands and avoiding college. 

The band is currently touring in support of their most recent album In a Cave (Rykodisc). The album is a strong well written album that sounds great live, which is quite fortunate since they'll be back in town this fall when they'll be touring with another Athens icon, Vic Chesnutt.
