BOAT gets Pitchfork review, SPIN artist of the day
Submitted by imaginary dana on July 6, 2007.
The guests of honor at our TIG 5th birthday celebration shows, Seattle lo-fi super heroes BOAT, have gotten a couple of pretty hefty distinctions today for the release of their brand spankin' new record, Let's Drag Our Feet.
- PITCHFORKED! The record got reviewed over at Pitchfork (a 7.4, in case you're wondering, but do click through and see the nice things they had to say...)
- SPUN!!! BOAT is the Artist of the Day over at Spin.com. Craaaaaaaazy goodness!!
- IMAGINED! And of course, the record got some good imaginary love today as well. Make sure you check out the TIG review of Let's Drag Our Feet.
BOAT will play not one but TWO CD release shows this weekend, both to celebrate TIGs 5th birthday: A 21+ show TONIGHT at the Crocodile, and an all-ages show tomorrow (Saturday, July 7) at the Vera Project.
We will see you all there (we hope!)

isn't a weird for a music review site to post announcements about press on other music sites? you're empowering them further and making yourselves seem insignificant, even if it's for the sake of championing a band.
