Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

The BreedersI know, I know, I have been going on and on about The Breeders and their hot new record Mountain Battles, but when I pledge my undying love, it's true! As you may have read in the eloquent review of the record by Imaginary Ash, this record is better than I had even hoped for.

Right now if you buy the record at Queen Anne Easy Street, you get a free poster, a 7 inch single AND the chance to enter to win tickets to their Portland show! Second prize is a autographed poster. Thats right, Kim and Kelly totally touched the poster! (I know, I have problems).

Our fine Seattle labels keep putting out great record after great record, and this week is no exception.

Sub Pop releases Foals Antidotes, which has been much hyped (and rightfully so!). The foals are a five-piece dance rock band from Oxford, England. Their record is in listening stations at both Easy Street stores if you want to check it out.

Barsuk is putting out a self-titled gem by Jim Noir. I haven't heard this one yet, but Barsuk doesn't put out bad records!

Tapes N Tapes have finally put out their sophmore release, Walk It Off. This too can be found in listening statiosn at Easy Street for your joy and convienience.

And finally Colin Meloy Sings Live! What more do you need to know? If you want to hear this one, you can either come on in, or hear it streaming on our website under "This Month's Featureds".
