Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

There are just a few more days until Heavenly arrive in the Pacific Northwest! Legendary indie-pop band, Heavenly, is headed our way as part of their short tour of the West Coast with Swansea Sound (featuring Amelia and Rob of Heavenly and Hue of the Pooh Sticks).

Their first stop is in Olympia — the capital of Washington state and DIY indie-pop. The second stop is on Tuesday, Oct. 15 in Seattle — where Heavenly and Swansea Sound will play the Tractor Tavern with Tullycraft. It’s Tullycraft’s first live show since 2009, Heavenly’s first Seattle show in 29 years, and Swansea Sound’s first ever show on the West Coast — so there’s a lot to celebrate.

After their Seattle show, Heavenly and Swansea Sound will head to Portland (where they will share the bill with All Girl Summer Fun Band), and then on to California. No matter which West Coast show you go to, the supporting band line-up will be top notch.

To prepare for the avalanche of awesomeness, I’ve made up a playlist of Heavenly songs. You can listen on repeat and share with your friends to illustrate the fabulousness of the show.

I totally understand if you don’t want to click on a Spotify link (been there!). Here’s the playlist in bullet list form (you can find all their albums, and fantastic t-shirts, on Bandcamp):

  • By the Way
  • Shallow
  • Hearts and Crosses
  • She And Me
  • Dig Your Own Grave
  • P.U.N.K. Girl
  • Our Love Is Heavenly
  • Starshy
  • And The Birds Aren’t Singing
  • Sperm Meets Egg, So What?
  • Three Star Compartment
  • Cool Guitar Boy
  • Cut Off
  • I Fell In Love Last Night
  • Atta Girl
  • Space Manatee
  • Trophy Girlfriend
  • Nous Ne Sommes Pas Des Anges
  • Art School
  • So?
  • C Is The Heavenly Option

Most of the West Coast shows are sold out. If you don’t have tickets, you should still keep the dream alive and be on the lookout for tickets that will (inevitably) become available in the days before the show (sad for them, lucky for you!).

I’ll be at the Seattle stop. SEAttle is the Heavenly option… but really they are all the heavenly option.

And for those of us going to the Seattle show…

And/or the Portland show…
