Good morning from sunny and warm (approx 100 degrees F) Athens, GA!
Last night, our first night here, was such fun. We entered the 40 Watt just in time to see the Smittens (so cute). (Apologies for the not-so-good pictures… I'm working on figuring out my camera's settings in an indoor-rock setting)
Next up, my favorite discovery of the evening was the indie-rock more than indie-pop Velcro Stars.
We Versus the Shark and Birds of Avalon were up next — both of which weren't my cup of matte tea. Dare I say they were of the metal / classic rock ilk.

Highlight picture of the night–Ted Leo mingles with the audience! what a nice guy!
Then TED LEO! He rocked the house and inspired some super-cute air punching dance moves from the audience.
I'm going to have to miss the day shows today as I have to head back to Atlanta to pick a friend of from the airport… but we'll be back in time for Ryan Anderson, The American Revolution, The Postmarks, Tullycraft, Casper & the Cookies, and Circulatory System!!!
