In an attempt to quell the “bump and grind” at a Corvallis, Oregon homecoming dance, the faculty chose an ‘80s theme, hoping the kids would make some classier moves. Apparently the students took to it, participating in pre-dance lessons and showing up in ‘80s gear to get their groove on — while Western line dancing.

I don’t remember slipping on legwarmers and doing any kind of line dance save for the “Thriller” routine. Then again, I didn’t grow up in rural Oregon, so maybe that’s how they roll(ed_?
