As was previously posted here on TIG, John In the Morning's Birthday Bash takes place this Friday, March 7, and will feature a performance by Boston band Tulsa. I happen to know Tulsa frontman Carter Tanton, who is exceptionally talented, yet humble and genuinely friendly. In addition to Tulsa's success, Carter had a great year in 2007 with other projects he was involved with: He played guitar in Township when they won the WBCN Rock 'N' Roll Rumble; he also co-produced and appeared on Drug Rug's debut album, and plays live with that band.

Since I'm sure many of you imaginaries in Seattle will be heading out to John's birthday show, let's get to know Tulsa a smidge in time for their big cross-country trip!
