Girls Rock!Seattle will be hosting a one time screening of Girls Rock! The Movie at Northwest Film Forum this Friday night, March 20.
This fun, unique, encouraging, empowering program for young women was founded in Portland nine years ago as the Rock 'n' Roll Camp For Girls and has grown. It has grown to now help over 300 of them learn how to make music every year.
Now, through the Girls Camp Rock Alliance, it's also coming to Seattle, with a full time volunteer staff, giving regular workshops on the music business as well as directly assisting young women to create music.
The Northwest Film Forum is featuring the Girls Rock! introductory documentary on Friday and only have 49 seats, so be sure to hit up Brown Paper Tickets to purchase your tickets ASAP if you're interested.
Proceeds from this event will go to support GR!S.
