Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

My mother always said "if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't
say anything at all!" So… I will refrain from anything more than Tori and
Feist have new records.

That said, I am super stoked about the new Black Rebel Motorcycle Club as
well as Dinosaur Jr…

As for the new releases by Robbie Fulks and Joan Armatrading — I like their voices
and respect what they do, but have never really embraced their music. Maybe these
records will be the ones to reel me in?

Miranda Lambert is hot out of the gate with her first single, tackling
domestic violence ala The Dixie Chicks "Earl." I think it still takes guts
to tackle this issue even in 2007, so more power to her.

Only one week until we get to hear Elliott Smith's New Moon. It's a double CD set that has
been getting a lot of play around the store for a couple of weeks, a
really nice collection of Elliott songs that haunt and titillate, just as
you would expect them to! New Moon will be in Easy Streets Listening Stations
starting tomorrow if you want to get a sneak peek!
