Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

I'm one of those people who always has the best intentions about going to book readings and signings. "Hell yeah!", I'll exclaim when an author's reading is announced, and then what usually happens is me being too goddam lazy to travel to said reading after work, and ending up on my couch in PJs with a pint of ice cream and a bottle of wine.

But I digress. This is one that I am determined NOT to miss. Because if anybody can pry me away from a promising night of bad TV and frosty bliss, it's Courtney Smith – a totally rad chick who wrote a book about loving records, and whose hairpin interview makes me want to hug her and never stop. I just may get the chance on Monday night (depending on how many body guards she has…), when she comes to the U Book Store for a reading and signing of her newly unleashed ode to ladies who love music: Record Collecting for Girls: Unleashing Your Inner Music Nerd, One Album at a Time. Sounds pretty imaginary, non?

Psst: I'm secretly hoping this will inspire Liz to write her own book! Egg her on in the comments. 🙂
