Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

There's something so exciting about waching a band play on TV for the first time! I remember watching a recorded vhs (remember those things?) of Death Cab's first TV appearance on the Craig Ferguson show. And last night, the entire world (or those who could stay up late enough to watch), had the privilage of seeing the Pains of Being Pure at Heart's television debut. (Full disclosure – I fell asleep during Carson Daly and woke up during an infomercial).

Catch the video of their performence here.  I think they played wonderfully! It's certainly not as monumental as Elvis Costello on Saturday Night Live, but it was adorable to see them pan out into the audience and see everyone clapping during the drum breakdown. Rehearsed, or is it really the year of indie pop?
