Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

There's been a lot of talk recently about trailers being created for books, but this is the first one I've encountered for an album.

It was sent to me by The Sea Navy's frontman Jay Cox, for his band's forthcoming album Memory Matches.

What do you think? It is definitely not a music video but it reminds me of an iPod commercial, where there's a 20 second excerpt and you can hear little more than the best hook of a song (or album, in this case). I think it can be effective because they just stick to the facts and use a little bit of humor in the 60 second trailer.

If you want to see The Sea Navy play this coming Saturday, TIG has a pair of tickets to give away for their next show, at the High Dive.
