Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

Rage: I normally would have passed this one over, but the DVD pickins are very slim this week my friends, and two names in this caught my eye: Steve Buscemi and Dame Judi Dench. A blogger covering a fashion show behind-the-scenes ends up covering a murder instead – using his cell phone video camera. I also spied Eddie Izzard, John Leguizamo, Lily Cole and Diane Wiest and Jude Law in drag – WOW. Could be interesting, non?

39 Pounds of Love: Aw, geez. This looks like a total weeper, but I can’t resist documentaries. This one’s about a boy diagnosed with a rare form of muscular dystrophy as a child. Paralyzed and only able to move one finger, he was told he wouldn’t live past 6 – he’s now 34, weighs only 39 pounds, and channels his incredible humor and postivity into animation.

30 Rock: Season 3: YESSS! It took me awhile to come around on the 30 Rock love, but omfg I now think it’s brilliant! I’ve always been madly in love with Tina Fey, but I wasn’t sure about Tracy Morgan or Alec Baldwin – friends, trust me. They are simply fantastic. In fact, EVERYONE on the cast is simply fantastic. The perverted writer w/the funny hat, the head page, the hot chick, the actress who needs constant validation – even the guest stars are amazing.
