Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

Believe it or not, there's still a chance to get in to that solo Ben Gibbard show that sold out in four minutes (yep, four) at the Smith Tower tomorrow night. The fine, fine folks over at Barsuk bought some tickets that are up for grabs, and they're raffling them off with class. Well, let's take a step back: first of all, the show is a benefit for Music for Marriage Equality, a group created by the Seattle music community dedicated to helping the Washington United for Marriage campaign win the vote for marriage equality this November. But the raffle itself will directly benefit Washington United for Marriage, by way of the special link that's set up here.

Make a donation of ten dollars or more, and be entered to win tickets to see the sold out Smith Tower show. Simple! By doing so, you'll have made a gift to an organization that's working towards some pretty serious equal rights issues here in Washington state, and when you look at it that way, everybody wins.

Donate. Cross your fingers. And while you're waiting to hear who won, pre-order yourself up a copy of Ben's most recent (and debut solo) effort, Former Lives. We've just started giving it a spin around the imaginary offices of late, and we're loving what we've heard so far!

Good luck!
