Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

Tomorrow (Saturday, October 6th) is the Seattle Weekly's REVERB festival, a nine-stage, 50+ band, all local music festival taking place in beautiful downtown Ballard.

I'm pretty blown away by the lineup, the number of venues around Ballard, and the low ticket price (only $8 if you buy today, $10 day of show), and at least the Outdoor stage is free (are they really going to be charging peeps to walk into Sonic Boom Records at 4p on a Saturday?? I have my doubts, but will report back what I find out on Saturday).

Three Imaginary Girls will have a crew of writers and photographers roaming Ballard for shows, and right now we're trying to plan a bit of who should see what.

I know I can't miss Throw Me the Statue and The Kindness Kind at Bop Street; imaginary photographer Eduardo doesn't want to miss Central Services or No Fi Soul Rebellion at Sonic Boom Records; and photographer Kyle Johnson has J. Tillman, Siberian, and D. Black on his list of must-sees.

How about all of you? Who do YOU think are the must-see local bands at REVERB?
