The Posies at The Neptune Theatre Seattle

As TIG’s resident Posiegirl, it’s my duty to inform you that The Posies are celebrating their 30th Anniversary by touring with their early ‘90s lineup (aka drummer Mike Musburger and bassist Dave Fox) — and they are landing in Seattle on Saturday, July 7, to take the stage at The Neptune Theatre!!!

It’s been THIRTY YEARS since Jon Auer & Ken Stringfellow released “Failure,” and since that little package of cassette tape goodness made its way into my ears, and not long after that, my heart. Thirty years of worn-out tapes, broken cd cases, and attending so many great Posies shows (and vodkas, and beers) that I can’t even count ‘em all.

Since I’ve gone on and on (and on) about my love for this band on TIG before, I’ll spare you more gushing and just say that Ken recently posted a heads up that this show is SELLING OUT. Get your tix ASAP, and join me in shouting the lyrics to some of my favorite Posies songs while I dance my entire face off and leave it on the floor of the Neptune in just a few weeks.

PS: Another thing you don’t wanna miss out on is the vinyl reissues of “Dear 23,” “Frosting on the Beater,” and “Amazing Disgrace!” Now available to pre-order via their Pledge Music campaign.
