24 years ago today — June 10, 2002 — we hit “publish” on a tiny idea called ThreeImaginaryGirls.com.

That little seed grew into something we never could have imagined. And none of it would have happened without the people who made us feel seen in the first place—especially Jane Pratt.

Before TIG, before blogs, before social, there was Jane Pratt, who created Sassy. And then Jane. And there was this feeling that weird girls like us might actually belong.

Her work shaped us — our voice as a vehicle for advocacy, our love of music (hi, R.E.M. 4ever), and our belief that we could build something of our own.

So getting to sit down with Jane on The Daily Whatever Show (Dana’s incredible podcast) and thank her in real time, and experience that Jane Pratt magic up close? Absolute full-circle magic.

So as we mark this year’s TIG birthday, it feels fitting to share this video of our chat with Jane (from just a few weeks ago) and pay homage to this icon. 🙂
