Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

This week Bon Iver announced a fairly extensive summer tour that is sure to rock the foundations of civilization and rend assunder the very envelope of sanity; part headlining, part opening act, ALL MAYHEM! Well, ok, so it probably won't herald the apocolypse, but it still looks to be a great set of shows. I'll be there when he comes through Portland with A.A. Bondy (who?), so hopefully I'll have some great photos to share with all of you alls.

See the press release below for all the details:

Bon Iver has added a slew of tour dates this summer, including headlining shows with A.A. Bondy and Bowerbirds and a handful of nights opening for Wilco. Justin Vernon, the primary force behind Bon Iver, has garnered an overwhelming amount of critical praise since the February release of his debut album, For Emma, Forever Ago. The New York Times called it "irresistible" and Pitchfork stamped its early review of the album with a Recommended tag. Other notches in his belt include an appearance on Later with Jools Holland, the track "Wolves (Part 1 and 2)" being featured on Grey's Anatomy, and too many "Up and Coming" lists to count. Live, Vernon is a force to be seen, and it has been said the songs from For Emma "take on a new life" in the live setting.
