It's Friday night so I'm going to keep this one brief, and I might take a break from the countdown on Saturday, unless something REALLY GOOD happens. So far, things are looking good for the good guys. And with only one week left in October, the odds of a proverbial October Surprise seem like they're diminishing (she types, knocking wood superstitiously…)

So the "cut-nut" made it up. That's a shocker. Ashley Todd, the alleged mutilatee of the Big Black Dyslexic Obama Supporter, confessed she made the whole story up. I'd almost feel sorry for her, if she weren't such an irresponsible racist Republican jerkoff (Wonkette). Before Todd confessed, Fox News VP John Moody proclaimed, "If the incident turns out to be a hoax, Senator McCain’s quest for the presidency is over, forever linked to race-baiting." So um, I guess it's over? (also Wonkette)

Palin/Bachmann 2012? Yes, they're is dead serious. And I'm all for it! That would be a dream ticket… for a second Obama term! (Commentary)
