Have you ever seen a live production of the Nutcracker and thought to yourself, “This is cool and all, but I’d really rather be watching these stories be told by a bunch of gorgeous burlesque dancers in pasties, while I eat grass-fed chicken dumplings in a plush dinner theater with my date”?

If the answer is yes, then you’re in luck! Now in it’s fifth year, Land of the Sweets: The Burlesque Nutcracker will be running straight through ’til Christmas Eve on the main stage at the Triple Door. Full to the brim with holiday cheer and stellar production, Land of the Sweets combines a class-act full-scale show with some of the best burlesque this side of the Puget Sound. There’s two shows a night until December 23rd, but many of the weekends are either sold out or close to selling out already. So if you’re into the likes of Lily Verlaine, Waxie Moon, Miss Indigo Blue, Kitten La Rue, and the rest of Seattle’s burlesque A-list, then you’d best pick a date and get yourself some tickets.

{Land of the Sweets: The Burlesque Nutcracker has a 7:00 and a 10:30 show almost every night between now and December 24th. More information on the show itself is available over at the Land of the Sweets website, and tickets are on sale now at the Triple Door.}
