Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

Well, maybe not, but I can't help championing Zig-Zag for supporting independent music. The Zig-Zag Live Spring 2007 Band Competition: Round III has begun (we missed rounds I and II, apparently), and you can visit their website to scroll through the nominees, have yourself a listen, and:

Choose one band that you think deserves a prize package valued at over $15,000 that includes: 1 track on CMJ “On Air” CD Compilation Series; 4 ½ page ads in CMJ New Music Report, CMJ’s weekly magazine (ads must run 4 consecutive weeks, 2 ads will be in the print issues, 2 ads will run in online issues); 1 track posted at www.cmj.com “Download This” Section for 1 week. Votes for this round will close on May 31, 2007, and you can vote once a day, so keep coming back to show your support!

Look for the "Vote for Bands" link in the middle of the page. Betsy will be stuffing ballots for her faves, The Vinyl Skyway — she promises a review of their fantastic From Telegraph Hill very soon.

Who are you rooting for??
