Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

I was driving in my car on a beautiful sunny day and had an urge for car karaoke — you know, a full-on belt-it-out-to-the-oldies sort of urge. So I decided to change my dial from it's usual leftie KEXP/KPLU end of the dial and moved it into mid-90s quasi-oldies territory, in search of a song to sing. Somewhere around Jack FM, I forwarded through three stations and came upon three of my ALL TIME HATED songs, in a row, no less:

"Old Time Rock and Roll" by Bob Seger

"You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" by Hall and Oates

"Round Here" by Counting Crows

Seriously, is someone in radioland trying to punish me for my imaginary sins? I turned my radio off in frustration and pouted. Now I turn to you, imaginary readers, for solace, and to share: What radio songs of days past do you HATE with the white hot passion of 1,000 suns?
