Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

We had the fortune of attending the opening night of John Roderick's most recent endeavor yesterday, a little something called John Roderick's Rendezvous. It's part lecture series, part guest, part Q and A, and even features a little music — and by gosh, we. are. HOOKED.

For six bucks, just about every other Tuesday, you can hit the Jewelbox Theater (you guessed it, the show is at the Rendezvous) from 6-7ish pm, skip rush hour, have a bite and a drink, and soak in the hilarity John has to offer. Last night we were treated to a Marijuana 101 of sorts, on the heels of Washington having passed legalization laws this past election cycle; a charming guest, and a new-ish song of John's to close out the night.

The tickets went fast for the opening show and we anticipate the rest to be no exception, with guests potentially ranging from literal celebrities to a random person John met in the QFC parking lot pre-show — not knowing is part of the fun! The next installment is on the 25th and the show will be on sale to the public this evening at 7pm, so set a timer and get on it!
