Word on the street has it that the King Cobra is closing its doors at the end of the week. I for one will cherish my fond memories of being ensconced in NYC-esque pink lights and somehow convincing one of my favorite local bands to sneak me backstage (downstairs) where I then somehow convinced them to share their beer stash with me.

To be honest, I haven't heard any of the bands I'm recommending you go see tonight (grab on to your sense of indie rock ADVENTURE!). I just suggest you take this night to go enjoy the lights, ambiance, and do your best to talk one of the bands into sneaking you to the backstage basement.

Of note (and could be useful when sweet talking band members), the bill is:

  • Billy The Fridge {it's their album release!}
  • Nite Owls
  • Grynch

And if your looking for something a little different, here's some other things on the TIG calendar:

  • Post Adolescence/To The Sea, Mars Bar
  • DJ Jest One/DJ Riznik/The Rebelz, Nectar
  • Tyson Ballew, Full Tilt Ice Cream*
  • Backward Masks/To Get Her Together/Nice Smile, Blue Moon
  • Abadawn/Somebody Cares/Can-U, Showbox
  • Kelli Frances Corrado/Surprise Party/Hey Ocean/Leigh Marble, High Dive
  • The Resets/Valu-Pak/Watch It Sparkle, Funhouse
  • Pablo Trucker/Conservative Dad {album release}/Patterns, Sunset Tavern
  • Michael Clarke & The Alley Walkers/Michael Vermillion/The End Times, Comet
  • Murder By Death/The Builders & The Butchers/Fake Problems, Neumo's
  • Earth/Sir Richard Bishop/James Blackshaw, Tractor
