Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

The dance party of the weekend is Le Castle Vania at Chop Suey on Saturday, with a self-described night of indie electro disco trash. Locals DJ Colby B, Thrills, and Axcyss will get the floor bouncing before Le Castle Vania (Dylan Eiland) takes the tables.

Hosting Le Castle Vania raises the electro dance cred of Seattle. Le Castle Vania is lighting up parties and dance nights on the lower left coast, and he was recognized as a Next 100 in 2008 by URB Magazine. ‘Bout time he brings his euro-dirty-punk disco dance to the Northwest. Fans of Digitalism, Daft Punk, Midnight Juggernauts, 120 Days, Justice or anything Ed Banger-labeled will be right at home.

Oh, and…psssst…over here you lovely imaginaries…a bit of unconfirmed rumor-spreading: word around is Le Castle Vania’s partner in crime, Blake Miller of Moving Units, will be there. If true, we’ll likely get a bit of Lies in Disguise, a remixing side project of Dylan Eiland and Blake Miller. Their first remix as Lies in Disguise was a dirty little dance ditty titled “Penis vs. Vagina.” One can only imagine how it will go from there.

See you on the floor!
