Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

Animals at NightPanda & Angel, who recently scored the BBC #1 Radio Demo of the week, are playing at the Tractor Tavern tonight (Thursday, August 14). Also appearing are Kate Tucker & the Sons of Sweden, Chrisopher Blue, and the almighty Animals At Night.

The Animals at Night is the latest project from Graig Markel, who has gone off and started releasing two songs (what we old fellers used to call a "single") every week, as he has been playing out with AAN and others (Transmissionary Six, Head Like A Kite).

This is the third week for the Summer Singles Series, and this time you can download "Tiger Stripes" b/w "Blue Skies Open Wide." The former features other local artists including Daniel G. Harmann and Trent Moorman from HLAK.

"The proceeds from these downloads all go to the Washington State King County Animal Shelter," Markel reports. "Many tracks in this series will not be included on the new record."

New AAN songs, and a bold night of experimental rock at the comfy and fun Tractor. Both sound like a good deal to me!
