Three Imaginary Girls

Seattle's Indie-Pop Press – Music Reviews, Film Reviews, and Big Fun

Don't you just hate mistaking an advertisement? Noticing a flyer for the Showbox announcing the Sneaker Pimps on August 17th, I quickly went to the venue's website to check it out. I mean, the band hasn't put out an album or done anything for years.

Alas, it's not the electro-pop band who brought us "6 Underground" but instead a touring exhibition touted as "The World's Largest Sneaker Display." And the featured music is actually MF Doom, the rapper who wears a mask and has colloraborated on many projects [including DangerDoom, who's other half is now part of Gnarls Barkley.]

So, if you were thinking there was going to be some pop down at the Showbox on August 17th, be forewarned it's actually a hip-hop/DJ show with a showcase of shoes.
